(Gettysburg) -- Gettysburg National Military Park will remain open to the public during the government shutdown, though the Eisenhower National Historic site will be closed.

The National Park Service said Gettysburg will be as accessible as possible until the federal government reopens. It said park roads, memorials, and trails at will be available to visitors, but emergency and rescue services will be limited.

The film, cyclorama painting and museum exhibits at the park museum and visitor center remain open and available to visitors.

There will be no National Park Service-provided visitor services, including public information, trash collection, and facilities and road maintenance, including snow plowing. All park programs have been canceled, including Winter Lectures, Reading Adventures for Families, and the Battlefield Book Series.

During the shutdown, park social media and websites are not being monitored or updated and may not reflect current conditions.
