Portion of I-83 remains closed in York County

(Glen Rock) -- PennDOT says part of I-83 in York County remains closed due to an accident that happened early today.

Officials say the incident occured shortly after 6am and involved an overturned tractror-trailer.

A hazmat team was called to assist in clean-up.

PennDOT says I-83 is closed between Exit 4, PA 851-Shrewsbury and Exit 10, PA 214-Loganville.  

All lanes are closed.

Southbound motorists are being told to follow the Red Detour,.. northbound motorists the Blue Detour.

There has been no word on when the highway will reopen.
