York police seek robbery suspect in fatal gas station shooting

(York) -- Police were searching for a robbery suspect who fatally shot a clerk at a midstate gas station.

York police say they got a call about 5:45 a.m. Tuesday reporting the shooting at the Exxon Mart.

That's where the employee, 44-year-old Aditya "Sunny" Anand opened up about 5 a.m. and was shot by the suspect.

Police say the suspect is a black man about 30 years old with a large build. The suspect has a beard and was wearing a black hooded sweat shirt, jeans, white athletic shoes and an olive-colored coat.

Police released a surveillance picture of the suspect.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 717-755-TIPS or the York City Police Department at 717-846-1234. Anonymous tips can also be texted to Yorktips at 847411. All those providing information may remain anonymous.
