(Evanston, IL) -- 4th-Ranked Penn State is in Evanston, Illinois today to put their undefeated record on the line against 2-2 Northwestern.

The Wildcats always seem to play the Lions tough,.. and both of their wins this season have come on their home turf.

Penn State head coach James Franklin says Northwestern has plenty of talent.

"They have a bunch of guys every year that make "All Big Ten".  They have a bunch of guys that get drafted and go to the NFL.  They are tough, they are hard-nosed, they are smart and they are disciplined.  They've got really good schemes.  They have a lot of consistency in the program with their coaching staff," Franklin said.

The Nittany Lions have been rolling along, racking up more points and yards than any other team in the Big Ten except Ohio State.

They are also allowing a league-low average of 9.4 points per game.

The Cats are led by quarterback Clayton Thorson who is second only to Trace McSorley in passing yards per game in the Big Ten.

Running back Justin Jackson is second among active FBS players 4,402 career rushing yards.

Kickoff is at noon.
