(Blue Mountain) -- Authorities say a construction worker has been killed in a crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Franklin County.

The victim was operating a piece of equipment when a passenger car struck it in the eastbound lanes between the Willow Hill and Blue Mountain exits.

It happened about 3:30 a.m.

State police haven't released the dead worker's name, or said whether anyone in the car will be charged.

Two people in the car were flown to a hospital, but their names and conditions weren't immediately released.

The crash closed the eastbound lanes for several hours and happened in a construction zone.
