(Reading) -- A former Berks County school bus driver who is accused of inappropriately touching two girls pleaded no contest in the case.

The Reading Eagle reports that 80-year-old Arthur Fick, of Alsace, pleaded no contest Thursday to two counts of indecent assault of someone younger than 13. Under the plea, Fick does not admit guilt but doesn't contest the facts of the case.

Prosecutors say Fick assaulted two female students when he was a contracted driver for the Oley Valley School District in 2001 and 2008. Police say the district didn't notify law enforcement after either incident.

Fick was fired in 2008 after one girl's mother reported the abuse.

Sentencing has been deferred until September so Fick can be evaluated by Pennsylvania's Sexual Offenders Assessment Board.
