Update: Turnpike reopens between Carlisle and Breezewood

(Breezewood) -- The Pennsylvania Turnpike has reopened between Carlisle and Breezewood after a crash involving three vehicles closed the stretch for hours.  

The crash occurred in the eastbound lanes around 4:00 a.m.today and closed the turnpike in both directions between those exits.

The eastbound lanes reopened about four hours later and the turnpike announced shortly after 11:00 a.m. that the westbound lanes were open again, too.  

The crash involved two tractor-trailers and a minivan. One of the trucks overturned.  

Four people were taken to a hospital. Their conditions are not known.

(Breezewood) -- The eastbound Pennsylvania Turnpike has reopened, but a westbound stretch between Carlisle and Breezewood remains closed after a three-vehicle crash.

The crash occurred in the eastbound lanes around 4:00 a.m. today and had closed the turnpike in both directions between the Breezewood and Carlisle exits.

The crash involved two tractor-trailers and a minivan.

One of the trucks overturned.

Four people were take nto a hospital. Their conditions are not known.

The region is under a winter weather advisory until 10:00 a.m. today, except in Adams, Lancaster and York counties.
