(McAdoo) -- Authorities say one man was killed and another wounded when a gun was fired as the men fought and struggled over the weapon in Schuylkill County.

Twenty-seven-year-old David Gombert of Hazle Township was fatally wounded in the confrontation Tuesday morning in Kline Township.

Police say the fight was reported about 9:30 a.m.

Law enforcement hasn't said who owned the weapon or how it was fired.

The 29-year-old man fighting with Gombert suffered minor injuries.

Gombert was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Associated Press is not identifying the other man because online court records on Thursday show criminal charges hadn't been filed against him.

The county district attorney is also reviewing the shooting.
