(Reading) -- Crews from the state Bureau of Forestry are investigating and assessing the extent of a forest fire now under control on a Berks County mountain.

The fire on Mount Penn was reported Monday evening in the woods behind Reading High School.

Crews will use GPS devices to measure the size of the fire, which has been estimated as 50 to 60 acres.

Firefighters from the city and surrounding communities have responded and reported containing the blaze by early today.

There have been no reports of injuries or damage to any homes or businesses in the area and no residents or businesses have been evacuated.

The fire and smoke have been visible for miles.
