US Route 30 re-opened after fire at midstate automotive shop

(Paradise) --  A portion of U.S. Route 30 has been re-opened after of a major fire at an automotive repair shop in Lancaster County.

All traffic was detoured from the highway in Paradise Township, until authorites re-opened the roadway.

The fire was reported at CJ's Automotive about 12:15 a.m. today.

Crews finally controlled the fire about 5:40 a.m., but expected to spend several hours cleaning up enough for the highway to reopen.

There were no immediate reports of injuries.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation.

Fire crews say the business is a total loss, though firefighters were able to save neighboring buildings.
