(Frackville) --  One person is reported dead after a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County.

Troopers at the Frackville barracks say the southbound lanes of the highway remained closed after 9:00 a.m. today, about three hours after the crash.

The lanes were closed between exits for Hometown and Frackville.

Police were still at the scene, however, and were not releasing many other details.

WNEP-TV reports a tractor-trailer went out of control and rolled onto its side after hitting a guide rail.

Another truck that slowed down for that wreckage was then rear-ended by a recreational vehicle.

Police say two people in the RV were hurt and the Schuylkill County coroner has been called to the scene.

But police aren't saying who was killed or which vehicle they were in.
