New ride at Hershey Park has 3 drop towers

Written by The Associated Press | Aug 3, 2016 4:48 PM

(Hershey, PA) -- Officials say the newest attraction at a Pennsylvania amusement park will feature three drop towers of varying heights.

Hersheypark officials announced Tuesday that the Hershey Triple Tower will open for the 2017 season.
The ride will feature the 80-foot Hershey's Kisses Tower, the 131-foot Reese's Tower and the 189-foot Hershey's Tower.

Each tower will operate independently of the others and have different queues for riders.

Kevin Stumpf, general manager of attractions and entertainment, said the attraction will allow people ``to choose their level of thrill'' and offer ``panoramic views of the park.''

The ride will be located where the Frog Hopper, Convoy and Red Baron currently are, with relocation of those three attractions to be completed over the winter.
