(Glen Rock) -- The York County coroner has identified the body of a man found near Interstate 83 last week.

State police believe 36-year-old Shannon Martin, of York, had been fatally shot.

The county coroner plans an autopsy today.

Martin's body was found Friday just off the highway on Seaks Run Road in Glen Rock.

Police say it appears Martin was shot somewhere else then dumped near the highway.

Authorities believe the motorist who spotted the body did so shortly after the body was discarded.

Troopers from the Loganville barracks have been investigating.
