(New Cumberland) --  A Cumberland County man who told police his infant daughter was injured falling out of her baby swing has been charged with killing her.

Twenty-three-year-old Deven Kohr of New Cumberland faces criminal homicide and other charges in the girl's death.

Police say emergency crews were called to the home May 14 when the six-month-old girl went into cardiac arrest.

Doctors later determined the girl's injuries were caused by having been squeezed within 15 minutes and she died at a hospital that day.

A coroner found injuries consistent with traumatic asphyxia and numerous brain bleeds that had occurred previously.

There were hemorrhages in the girl's eyes, which would have left her blind.

Kohr is jailed without bond.

His attorney declined to comment.
