(Lancaster) -- A man convicted of killing his girlfriend in her dorm room at a Lancaster County university is set to be sentenced.

Twenty-one-year-old Gregory Orrostieta will be sentenced today by a Lancaster County judge.

He was convicted of third-degree murder in May for killing Millersville University freshman Karlie Hall in February 2015.

Orrostieta told authorities he got into a fight with the woman over spilled noodles, but claimed she had been drinking and fell and hit her head.

Prosecutors say he beat and strangled her.

Orrostieta was found trying to administer CPR to his girlfriend after calling 911, but authorities said he was faking that and she had been dead for hours.
