(Reading) -- Authorities have released the name of a man killed by gunfire outside an eastern Pennsylvania convenience store that wounded another man.

Officers in Berks County responded at about 1:15 a.m. Wednesday to a report of shots fired outside the Getty Mart near the Reading Regional Airport. Police said a pickup truck was reported to have been struck by gunfire, but it was gone when officers arrived.

A pickup was later spotted heading to Penn State Health St. Joseph hospital with a shooting victim, but it broke down near the airport. Police then found that the victim was dead.

He was identified as 49-year-old Carl Walker.

Another 22-year-old shooting victim went to Reading Hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to the leg. The circumstances of the shooting weren't immediately clear.
