(Undated) -- Pennsylvania will be well represented later today in the 142nd running of the Kentucky Derby.

Two state-bred horses, Mor Spirit and Tom's Ready, will be among those in the run for the roses.

Brian Sanfratello, Executive Secretary of the Pennsylvania Horse Breeders Association, says the winner will need some luck in a crowded 20-horse field.

"When all twenty break out of the gate it's important to get whatever position that your horse is used to running in.  Some horses are front-runners, some horses come from behind, so when everybody breaks out of that gate they need to be in their premiere position," he said.

Mor Spirit may have a bit of an edge.  He's trained by Hall of Famer Bob Baffert, who also trained last years Triple Crown winner American Pharoah.

Post time for today's race is 6:30pm.
