(Chambersburg)  -- A Franklin County woman will serve up to seven years in prison over the death of a three-month-old girl she was baby-sitting.

Rosanna Desinor of Chambersburg has reached a deal with prosecutors and pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter in the death of Kaendra Destinvil.

She was originally charged with homicide.

The 19-year-old Desinor was sentenced to 3.5 to seven years in state prison.

Police say Desinor was baby-sitting Kaendra in August 2014 when she lost her temper because of the child's crying.

Authorities says she struck the baby several times in the head and dropped the child while carrying her from a bedroom.

Desinor allegedly then put Kaendra back to bed, where she was later found unresponsive.
