(Harrisburg) -- Governor Tom Wolf plans to deliver his 2016-17 budget proposal today at 11:30 a.m. The address can be streamed live online.

For the first time in the state's history, a governor will be proposing a new state budget before the current budget has been enacted.

His $32.7 billion plan calls for additional increases in education funding, including special education and higher education. His proposal would cut down on charter school spending and expand programs for people with intellectual disabilities.

WITF will carry the address on 89.5 and 93.3. FM with analysis from reporters Ben Allen, Marie Cusick, Emily Previti, and Mary Wilson.

Facebook Town Hall

This afternoon Governor Wolf will host a Facebook Town Hall about his 2016-2017 Budget. Facebook users can start asking questions now by posting a comment on the town hall Facebook event page. The town hall will be live-streamed at 3:30 p.m. on the Governor's Facebook page
