(Pittsburgh) -- A police dog is set to be laid to rest after it was stabbed to death when a man brawled with officers in the Pittsburgh suburbs.

The city's Public Safety Department says several roads will be closed during today's funeral procession for Port Authority K-9 Aren.

The 5-year-old German Shephard was stabbed to death Sunday as he attempted to apprehend a man being chased by Port Authority police in Wilkinsburg.

Officers shot and killed Bruce Kelley Jr.

Thursday's procession will begin in Wilkinsburg around 11:00 a.m. and head to the Allegheny County Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial. Flags are flying at half-staff.

Sections of Liberty Avenue will close around 9:30 a.m. along with parts of 11th Street, the 6th Street Bridge, West General Robinson Street, Mazeroski Way, and North Shore Drive.
