PSU head coach James Franklin during Penn State's 27-10 loss to Temple last season.

(Knoxville, TN) -- The Penn State football program is once again searching for a new coach.

Just weeks after Head Coach James Franklin replaced his offensive coordinator, he is now forced to concentrate on the defensive side of the ball.

Bob Shoop has agreed in principle to leave Penn State and become Tennessee's defensive coordinator.

Tennessee coach Butch Jones announced the move last night.

Shoop said in a statement that ``this was not an easy decision and one that I didn't take lightly.''

The Tennessee athletic department says Shoop agreed to a three-year contract worth $1.15 million annually.
