(Harrisburg) -- U.S. Senate hopeful Katie McGinty is reporting that she raised nearly $1 million in the last three months of 2015 for her campaign.

The McGinty campaign says it had $1.2 million in the bank heading into 2016.

The deadline to disclose full details is the end of January.

McGinty, a Democrat, is campaigning in a three-way field for the right to take on Pennsylvania's Republican Sen. Pat Toomey in the November general election.

Toomey's campaign is reporting nearly $10 million in the bank as it headed into 2016.

Toomey is seeking a second term.

The other Democrats running are John Fetterman and Joe Sestak.

Fetterman reported having nearly $150,000 on hand last October 1 and Sestak reported $2.4 million.

The primary is April 26.
