(Fredericksburg) -- A laser was shined into the cockpit of a Pennsylvania National Guard helicopter while it was in flight last week in Lebanon County.

State police say the incident occurred on November 24 at 7:30 p.m.,when the CH-47 Chinook was in the area between Forest Drive and Zeigler Lane in Bethel Township.

Anyone with information is asked to call the state police at Lickdale at 717-865-2194.

The action occured the same day a laser was pointed at an Army helicopter in Columbia County.

The crew aboard the Chinook reported being illuminated and tracked around 6:30 p.m. November 24, over Service Lane in Hemlock.

Officials say the laser light can temporarily blind pilots.
