(Pittsburgh) -- Trib Total Media is laying off more than 150 employees and consolidating its three main daily newspapers in the Pittsburgh metro area as part of a major, ongoing reorganization.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, the Tribune-Review in Greensburg and the Valley News Dispatch in Tarentum will become a single paper, the Tribune-Review.

Company President Jennifer Bertetto says the changes reflect a need to focus on digital platforms as readers change the way they want and get their news.

The 153 full- and part-time employees to be laid off represent over 10 percent of the company's workforce.

Trib Total says it will have to lay off more than 90 additional employees if buyers aren't found in the next 60 days for The Valley Independent in Monessen and The Daily News in McKeesport.
