(York) -- Construction on an overpass that was struck Monday night has closed all eastbound lanes on Route 30 between Hallam and Wrightsville.

The construction on the Burgs Lane overpass between Accomac Road and Cool Springs Road started early Tuesday morning and will continue indefinitely, 911 confirmed. The westbound lanes are not affected by the construction.

Traffic has been rerouted off Route 30 at the Hellam exit onto Route 462, 911 confirmed. Drivers must continue down Route 462 across the Wrightsville bridge and can re-enter Route 30 on the Lancaster County side via Route 441.

Fire police have been dispatched to Cool Creek Road and Hellam Street to assist with backed-up traffic, 911 confirmed.
