(Undated) --It's something that some parents fear. Halloween candy filled with dangerous metal or glass.

For years, a group of urgent care offices in the midstate have been x-raying candy for free.

Patient First plans to offer the service again this year, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Halloween on Saturday.

It has locations in Harrisburg, Lancaster, Mechanicsburg, and York.

WITF's Ben Allen talked with Ian Slinkman with Patient First about the idea.

So if they can do all these xrays for free with very apparent little cost to these clinics, then why does it cost $100+ for an xray of a broken bone? Inflated costs?
