(Carlisle) --  A 65-mile section of the Pennsylvania Turnpike's westbound lanes has been reopened.

The westbound lanes between the Carlisle and Breezewood interchanges were closed for several hours this morning after a crash involving a truck at milepost 221.3

The crash was reported before 6:30 a.m. and blocked the westbound lanes and one eastbound lane.

Three people were injured and taken to hospitals.

Westbound drivers were asked to exit at Carlisle and take Route 11 north to Interstate 81 into Maryland. Drivers can then travel on Interstate 70 west to state Route 30 and get back on the turnpike in Breezewood.
