(Carlisle) -- Carlisle Barracks and Cumberland County will work together on an emergency response to detection of explosives at the installation next Wednesday.

First-responders in neighboring municipalities will also participate in the drill, and a Family Assistance Center will be set up at a community center on the barracks site.

Some buildings on the barracks may be evacuated, and there may be delays getting on and off the base.

Barracks staff is using the drill to determine where to improve, observe how employees respond, and maintain relationships with first responders and the community off base.
