(Harrisburg) -- It's primary election day in Pennsylvania, but voter turnout is expected to be low.

At the top of today's statewide ballot are nomination races for three seats on the state Supreme Court, with 12 candidates to choose from.

The three top vote-getters in each party will compete in the general election for a 10-year term on the state's highest court.

Also on the ballot are Democratic nomination races for the Superior and Commonwealth courts.

Across the midstate, voters will be electing their parties' nominees for mayor, county commissioner, district attorney, school board and other elected positions.

Polls open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m.
