(Phoenix) -- A man has been extradited from Berks County to face prosecution in the killing of a church janitor in Glendale last year.

Authorities took 25-year-old Gustin Ray Woodman into custody Wednesday upon his arrival at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

His bond has been set at $1 million during his initial court appearance.

Woodman doesn't have a lawyer yet for his case and his arraignment is scheduled for May 27.

He had been jailed in Berks County for an unrelated robbery.

Glendale police have linked Woodman to the June 2014 death of Mark Leroy Woodruff.

The 72-year-old janitor was found fatally shot outside of his home after an attacker tried to rob him inside his vehicle.

Police say Woodman is facing charges of first-degree murder, armed robbery and weapons charges.
