Protesters clash with police in Philadelphia on Thursday. The event in Philadelphia follows days of unrest in Baltimore amid Freddie Gray's police-custody death.

(Philadelphia) -- People angry over the fatal injuries suffered by Freddie Gray while he was in Baltimore police custody are protesting in Philadelphia and have clashed with police.

Several hundred people gathered at Philadelphia City Hall yesterday and chanted "No justice, no peace.''

Police officers holding batons formed a line blocking access to a street.

The protesters then rushed the police line.

Police held them off for a few minutes but  relented and let them proceed.

Objects have been thrown at police officers, who have struck back with their batons.
