(Lancaster) -- The name of a man shot and killed by a Lancaster police officer after authorities said he shot another officer has been released.

Lancaster County Coroner Dr. Stephen Diamantoni has identified the suspect as 29-year-old Anthony Quinn Gomez Jr.

Diamantoni says Gomez died from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest that were "rapidly fatal.''

Police said officers had gone to the Lancaster home shortly before 1:00 p.m. Tuesday to try to serve a warrant, but the suspect refused to comply with orders to surrender.

County District Attorney Craig Stedman says the first officer used a stun gun but was then shot twice by the suspect, and another officer then "responded appropriately'' by shooting the suspect.

The injured officer was said to be doing well Wednesday after suffering wounds to his shoulder and hand.
