(Reading) -- A third generation of the Boscov family is taking over as CEO of the 43-store retail chain.

The Reading-based company says Jim Boscov is taking over as CEO.

He's succeeding his uncle, Albert Boscov, who will remain as chairman of the 97-year-old company.

Boscov's has stores in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

It has announced plans to open a store in Connecticut later this year.

It celebrated its 100th anniversary last year.
