(Gap) -- Fifteen students in Lancaster County were taken to the hospital with minor injuries after police say a pickup truck ran a stop sign and collided with their school bus.

The Pequea Valley School District says everyone was able to walk off the bus without assistance after the crash around 7 a.m. Thursday about 16 miles east of Lancaster.

Most of the middle school and high school students were being discharged from the hospital. Some were being kept for x-rays.

Two adults were also hurt.

Police say 21-year-old Elijah Williard hit the bus after driving his Dodge Ram pickup truck through a stop sign at Slaymaker Hill Road in Salisbury Township.

He's been cited for failing to stop at a stop sign.
