(Hanover) -- Authorities in York County say an elderly man died of complications related to hypothermia after a fall in his unheated garage.

88-year-old William Crumrine of Hanover was pronounced dead at York Hospital shortly after 2:00 a.m. Saturday.

The York County coroner's office said he had been found on the floor of his garage February 16.

Chief Deputy Coroner Claude Stabley says it's unclear how long Crumrine had lain on the cold garage floor after falling, but he was already suffering from hypothermia when he was found.

He has ruled the death accidental due to complications of hypothermia and says the victim had significant medical issues that contributed to his death.
