(York) -- York County's 911 director is leaving the job for another opportunity.

After five years with the county, Julio Mendez will step down by the end of the week to pursue a job in law enforcement.

He had previously worked as a county detective and with the State Police.

Emergency Services Executive Director Eric Bistline will take over until a replacement can be brought on board.
