(York) -- Police say a teenage student has been arrested in the stabbing of another student in a midstate school.

The 15-year-old victim was stabbed once in the back and arm with a knife at about 9:40 a.m. Tuesday at Goodridge Academy in York.

Lieutenant Erik Kleynan says the two were apparently sitting in class together when the suspect stabbed the victim.

Police say the victim was taken to York Hospital with injuries that weren't life-threatening.

Officers say the suspect was arrested at his home and will face aggravated assault and weapons charges.

Goodridge Academy serves 75 students from grades 8 through 12 who have disciplinary issues.
