(Pittsburgh) -- New Jersey Governor Chris Christie says he's willing to spend a lot of money to ensure his fellow Republican Governor Tom Corbett gets re-elected this year to another term in Pennsylvania.

The men appeared together this afternoon at Pittsburgh's popular Primanti Bros. restaurant, greeted by dozens of chanting and sign-waving supporters and protesters. While there, the governors posed with restaurant patrons for selfies.

Right before, the men headlined a private fundraiser at a downtown hotel for the Republican Governors Association. The group is Corbett's biggest campaign donor, and Christie is its chairman.

Corbett is being challenged by Democrat Tom Wolf, a businessman making his first bid for public office.

The election is Nov. 4. Early polling shows Corbett far behind Wolf, the wealthy York County businessman who is making his first bid for public office.

Wolf easily won a four-way Democratic Party primary May 20.
