(Harrisburg) -- A debate between Democratic gubernatorial candidates became edgy when Congressman Allyson Schwartz confronted York County businessman Tom Wolf over a line of credit he secured from a bank to raise $4 million for his campaign.

Schwartz, Wolf and former Clinton White House environmental adviser Katie McGinty met Wednesday for the debate at a suburban Harrisburg law school campus. The questioners were journalists.

A fourth candidate, state Treasurer Rob McCord, couldn't attend.

The candidates largely agree on the issues, and forums between them have been largely without confrontation. But at the debate, Schwartz turned to Wolf and asked him to disclose the terms of the loan. He agreed that he would, and said he had secured it with personal assets.

Wolf has used the loan to help him blanket the airwaves for weeks and seize an early and strong lead in independent polls.
