Two Schuylkill County coal miners rescued after roof collapse

(Minersville) -- Two miners have been rescued after part of a roof at a Schuylkill County coal mine fell on them.

The incident happened yesterday at the D&F Mine, just outside of Minersville.

The roof of the coal mine collapsed, trapping two miners before they were rescued by their fellow workers.

The injured men were taken to medical helicopters and their injuries are not belied to be life-threatening.

Federal and state inspectors are investigating.
