One lane to be closed on I-83 today at York Split

(Harrisburg) -- Starting at around 9 a.m. on Monday, construction crews will restrict southbound traffic to a single lane on Interstate 83 through the York Split in Lemoyne, eastern Cumberland County.

The single-lane traffic restriction is necessary so that repairs can be made to the right lane through the construction project.

The pavement in this area has become very rough, with numerous potholes. Motorists are asked to be alert to this operation and to slow down when approaching and traveling through the construction project at the York Split.

The repair operation should be finished and southbound I-83 restored to two lanes of traffic by 3 p.m.
