(Harrisburg) -- The Governor's Residence will be open for holiday tours from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. today, in conjunction with Historical Harrisburg Association's annual Candlelight House Tour.

Kirsten Page, spokeswoman for First Lady Susan Corbett, says today marks the beginning of their 2013 holiday tour season.

"Generally on the open house day, we have hundreds and hundreds of people who come through the Governor's Residence to tour the holiday decorations," she says.

Page notes this is the third year visitors to the Governor's Residence will have a chance to participate in the "Holiday Mail for Heroes" program.

Local Marines will also be on site, collecting toys as part of their "Toys for Tots" program.
