(Allentown) --  A Delaware woman is on the mend after falling about 30 feet over a cliff from the Appalachian Trail in Berks County last month.

38-year-old Lara Louise Kadambi, of Pike Creek, has been transferred from Lehigh Valley Hospital to a rehabilitation facility.

Kadambi suffered a severe head injury and had to be rescued October 19th from a section of the trail in Berks County known as the Pinnacle, a rocky area not easily accessible by vehicles.

Hospital officials said she was discharged Monday to continue her recuperation at another facility. The name of the facility was not released.
