Tim Scott wins Carlisle mayor's race

(Carlisle) -- Democrat Tim Scott has won the race for mayor of Carlisle borough.

Scott is the first African-American mayor in the borough's history.

He's also the first Democrat elected to the job in several decades.

Scott topped his closest competitor, Republican William "Doc" Kronenberg by about 200 votes, with nearly 3,000 cast.
