(Washington) -- Pennsylvania's junior U.S. senator says thousands of people are contacting his office with complaints about losing their health insurance because of the federal health care law.

Republican Pat Toomey has told federal. Health and Human Secretary Kathleen Sebelius the cost of insurance is tripling for one Bucks County man and his two young sons.

A Lancaster County woman told Toomey's office she's a two-time breast cancer survivor and is facing the loss of insurance March 1st.

State insurance regulators estimate that up to 250,000 Pennsylvanians are seeing their current coverage discontinued for reasons connected to the federal law.
