(Harrisburg) -- A disbarred Adams County attorney has pleaded guilty in federal court to stealing more than $3 million from eight clients.

A federal judge in Harrisburg has set a sentencing conference for March, for 46-year-old Wendy Weikal-Beauchat of Gettysburg, who pleaded guilty to wire fraud.

Authorities have frozen one of her bank accounts, which contains $6 million, in hopes of repaying her victims and others who may be discovered as the investigation continues.

Her attorney says his client is cooperating with authorities and doing the best she can to repay people ripped off dating back to 2007.

Weikal-Beauchat agreed to be disbarred in February and was charged last month. She was an estate planning attorney who spent clients' money while pretending to invest it.
