A student has been taken into custody after police and school officials say the student attacked another with a knife in the hallway of a Lancaster County high school.

Manheim Township police and officials at Manheim Township High School are not identifying either student.

School spokeswoman Marie Brody says the incident happened about 8:30 a.m. today as students were moving between classes.

She says the incident "was isolated to these two students and no other student was involved."

Township police Sergeant Thomas Rudzinski says officers have one person in custody, but didn't release any charges the student may face.

The school spokeswoman, wouldn't identify the grades or ages of the students involved, and says the victim suffered only a minor injury. That student was treated by a school nurse and no ambulance was called.
