(Harrisburg) -- Glitches are beginning quickly in the federally run online insurance portal for Pennsylvania that's newly open under President Barack Obama's signature health care law.

The website was telling visitors Tuesday that the system was down at the moment and to try again later. It also says, ``we're working to resolve the issue as soon as possible'' and that it has a lot of visitors right now.

Callers to the federal call center where consumers can get help by telephone have reported long wait times.

Tuesday was to be the first day that people could see information on the 56 health plans available to Pennsylvanians, such as rates and networks, and start shopping.

Coverage begins January 1st.

Antoinette Kraus of the Pennsylvania Healthcare Access Network says people don't have to enroll right away.
