Hershey's Chocolate World sets attendance record

(Hershey) -- The flagship Hershey's Chocolate World attraction in Dauphin County drew more than two million people this summer, a record for the facility that opened 40 years ago.


 Hershey's says attendance at the was up eight percent over last year.

 The company says it sold more than one million pounds of chocolate there, and about 175,000 people created their own custom candy bars.

 There are also Hershey's Chocolate Worlds in New York City, Chicago, Niagara Falls, New York, Singapore, Shanghai and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. Another is planned for Las Vegas.
