(Pottsville) -- Consumers picking up a case of Yuengling lager might want to grab a carton of Yuengling chocolate chip while they're out.

The name linked to America's oldest brewery is once again lending itself to ice cream.

David Yuengling is resurrecting Yuengling's Ice Cream, an ice cream maker started by his great-grandfather in 1920 to help supplement the brewery's revenue during Prohibition.

The new company is unaffiliated with the Pottsville-based brewery. David Yuengling is a second cousin of brewery owner Dick Yuengling.

He says the ice cream will be sold in grocery stores in Pennsylvania and other mid-Atlantic states starting in March.
